Literature and Poetry…I always had a very interesting relationship with both of them. Distant yet undeniable. Profound yet fleeting. As a child, my parents always found me sitting somewhere in the house, lost in the magical realms of stories. I always loved wandering around in the mystic fantastical world within me. I loved stories, and they loved me… but, did I ever try to weave one? Not until the writer inside me couldn’t take the hiding anymore!
It was back in December of 2018. I was sitting on the couch, crying on my Mother’s shoulder, telling her how lost I felt. I just wasn’t finding anything endearing enough… Nothing seemed to satisfy my soul. I felt suffocated. I had no vents to let the emotions out. It was at this moment that my mom told me to pick up the pen… and Oh Dear! I wonder if I will ever be able to thank her enough for that push.
That one decision changed my life forever. I have never been happier; I have never been more proud!
This blog is the place where I share the stories and poems that I so dearly treasure. It is a pleasure and honor to be able to share my work with all of you beautiful people here. Thanks for being a part of my journey. Forever Grateful!
