Deep…

Deep down in my heart;

Buried in my soul;

Are the truths to my lies…

 

Lies…

Those lies which I hurl;

Hurl at the world,

When folks try to sneak in,

Through my lamenting eyes;

Seeking the way to my vulnerable

heart…

 

Vulnerabilities…

They are an enigma, aren’t they?

 

In this world, we conspire…

Force people to bare their fragility;

But strive to armour ours…

 

We…

We are fools…

And the pursuit of power and strength;

That’s our folly…

 

The bait in the rat race,

Is nothing…

But, the most splendid of all the lies,

That ever escaped the mouths of the “Wise”…

 

For… the forts;

They were never our strength,

But a futile attempt, an illusion…

Played at the invader,

An attack on his frailty…

 

For… Not even a single ounce of blood,

Was shed for victory…

But… we bled our way to the doomed oblivion,

Just to run away from defeat…

  7. We are liars fighting our own truths…that’s why we never win anything…we just lose. We’re all weak, fragile, defeatable because we depends on those illusions to tell us who we are when we know who we are…and what dwells within. Very clever, adored it ❤

    1. Absolutely true! All of us, we are fighting, yes… But not for the right cause. We are fighting to run away from our weaknesses, to establish the proof of our strength, in front of the world. Our wars are futile attempts to achieve the same. In the end, all of us lose, to life… And to our souls.💕💕💕

  10. Well the forts we build to protect us are just illusions ans lies! Our vulnerabilities are enigmas or maybe they are our real forts when we embrace them and when the lies can’t find a place to our soul, nobody can defeat us I guess otherwise we will live in a constant lie and our forts are just weak lies!
    Very deep Gauri, you need to have mercy on our poor and humble minds 😊💕💕

    1. Very very true! Vulnerabilities are often frowned upon. People think that they make a person weak. But if we embrace them and work with them, instead of working against them, we can go places. That’s real strength, the skill to accept and embrace weakness.😊😊💕💕

  14. Beautifully written truth about the lies we tell to ourselves ❤🌸
    And it’s so true that we want others to show their vulnerabilities to us but we build big strong walls or armour(like you said) around us to protect ourselves. And in all this we forget that vulnerability isn’t something to be ashamed off. It’s not a sign of weakness but a sign of courage. Because only a brave courageous person can embrace their vulnerable self.😊
